Method
Truth In is a small library, not an oracle. Each entry is a claim that has survived contact with evidence. The point of the room is to keep those claims in one place, with their sources and their limits visible.
What belongs here
A statement about the world that is specific enough to be wrong, that independent observers can check, and that is not a prediction, a preference, or a moral command. “The universe has an age” belongs. “What we ought to do about it” does not.
The three grades
- Established
- Multiple independent lines of evidence, a working theory, and no serious rival that fits the data. Disagreement, if any, is about precision or interpretation at the edges.
- Strong
- The claim is well supported and widely used, but a number is an estimate, a mechanism is incomplete, or a nearby question remains open. The core is not in doubt.
- Developing
- Evidence exists and is pointed, yet the field still argues about scope, cause, or the right model. We include these rarely, and we say so.
What we refuse
- Unsourced virality, however confident.
- Forecasts dressed as facts.
- Moral conclusions smuggled into empirical sentences.
- Claims that cannot be stated so that they could fail.
How to read
Start with the claim, then the caveats, then the sources. If a source is a book, find the argument; if it is a paper, find the measurement. A saved entry lives on this device only — this room has no accounts.
